The Very Large Array (VLA) is one of the world's premier astronomical radio observatories. The VLA consists of 27 antennas arranged in a huge Y pattern up to 36km (22 miles) across -- roughly one and a half times the size of Washington, DC. An aerial view of the central part of the VLA, looking toward the South; the control building is at right edge of the photo.

High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program - They have another smaller one of these up north of this one that has been in operation for years, but is smaller. There are also some in Europe. I think the hams should take them over and show what can be done! This project sure has the UFO nuts stirred up. They say its supposed to alter the weather, look in our enemies basement for weapons, and shoot down ufos when its not doing anything else. de WB5TXA
